New Advanced Manufacturing Competency Model
About
ETA worked with SEMI, the industry association representing the end-to-end electronics design and manufacturing supply chain, and other industry partners to refresh the model last updated in 2010. The updated model represents a unification of competencies across a wider range of industries related to Advanced Manufacturing and identifies the skill sets required to strengthen connections among the Advanced Manufacturing industry, workers, and education and training providers.
Competency models are great tools for conversations with employers and community colleges to find out how to match competencies with employer needs. Access the newly updated Advanced Manufacturing Competency Model on the Competency Model Clearinghouse.
Competency Model Clearinghouse
Employers, educators and workforce system professionals can use the Competency Models Clearinghouse to understand and identify the skill sets and competencies that are essential to educate and train a globally competitive workforce for the gig/sharing economy as well as other occupations.
In addition to providing existing competency models, skill standards, technical curriculum, certifications, and other resources for key industries, this site also provides detailed instruction and resources for employers and practitioners to develop their own competency models where none exist.
