Federal Reserve Unemployment Claims Monitor for National Data
About
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta created a national Unemployment Claims Monitor, a virtual dashboard complete with data visualization tools for tracking initial and continued Unemployment Insurance (UI) claims.
About the Unemployment Claims Monitor
The Unemployment Claims Monitor has the following features.
- The data dashboard reports data only at the national level.
- The dashboard has industry and some demographic filters.
- The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta will update the tool every Thursday morning to reflect the U.S. Department of Labor's most recent weekly unemployment insurance claims news release and the most recent data available in the U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL's) ETA-539 "Weekly Claims and Extended Benefits Trigger Data" file.
About the UI Claims Data
DOL's Employment and Training Administration (ETA) also maintains a UI Data dashboard, which it updates after releasing data on the UI program. ETA posts weekly claims data updates, and summary tables of UI data.
