Equity Data

The U.S. Census Bureau also has new data explorer tool, My Community Explorer (MCE) is an interactive map-based tool that highlights demographic and socioeconomic data that measure inequality and can help inform data-based solutions. This tool is designed to help users identify underserved communities as directed by the President's Executive Order 13985 on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility in the Federal Workforce.

Race and Ethnic Diversity

Do you know how diverse your state is?  Did you know that the multi-racial population in the United States has increased by 275.7% since the 2010 Census? The Census Bureau uses a diversity index to measure the probability that two people chosen at random in a given area will be from different race and ethnic groups. Learn how to access race and ethnic diversity data in 2010 and 2020 using an interactive data visualization. This data visualization offers a unique way to identify trends for your state and county.

Data Gems

Data gems are a Census Academy series of "how-to" videos available for data users who are looking for an easy and quick way to enhance their knowledge of Census data. They will introduce you to various concepts and techniques to improve your ability to navigate the Census website and use Census data-access tools.

In a prior presentation, webinar, and data gems webcast, the Census also discussed race and ethnic diversity data.
