About

The Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness (CREC) is an independent, not-for-profit organization founded to provide policy-makers with the information and technical assistance they need to formulate and execute innovative, regional, job-creating economic strategies.

CREC's primary goal is to help regions compete. Through its network of partnerships, it continually works to further regional economic competitiveness in global, rural, and metropolitan communities.

Training and Capacity Building

CREC works with three organizations whose individual missions that align with CRCC's overall, long-term goals:

CREC provides these organizations with highly-specialized staff, institutional capacity and networks, and organizational infrastructure that allow them to pursue their core missions and build on new technical expertise.

Regional Planning for Competitiveness

As an independent non-profit, CREC partners with policy-makers to research, formulate and execute innovative methods for regional data research and analysis that helps communities plan. The purpose of the data-driven regional planning is to promote job creation and long-term economic sustainability.
