Underemployment in Midlife and Older Workers

About

Survey to understand the attitudes and experiences of workers who are underemployed.

AARP conducted an online survey of 750 adults in the workforce ages 45 and older. The sample was drawn from AARP’s proprietary online panel of Americans. Respondents were screened for work status and underemployment by hours or skills.

All prescreened 45+ respondents working or looking for work were weighted to the appropriate Current Population Survey (CPS) benchmarks.
