Industry Focus Calls
About
Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) are being used by employers in a wide range of sectors to meet their talent development needs. Industry Focus Calls have supported state apprenticeship expansion grantees as they launch and expand RAPs into new sectors. The calls have explored promising practices and crucial success factors in launching or expanding RAPs in education, energy, financial services, healthcare, information technology, the public sector, and more.
Each Industry Focus Call featured several experts, including at least one state grantee that has made strong headway in growing apprenticeship within that sector. The discussions addressed common grantee interests and questions on topics such as:
- What is driving the sector’s interest in the apprenticeship model
- What occupations show great potential for apprenticeship expansion
- Promising models and partnerships that are working in the sector
- Lessons learned and suggestions for apprenticeship growth and expansion
- Tools and resources to support grantee work
A series of Industry Focus Calls took place throughout Summer 2024, and previous Industry Focus Calls took place periodically in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Recordings, transcripts, and summaries from all calls are available below.
