About

This webinar will present an introduction to evaluations of Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessments (RESEA) program components.

Moderator

Joseph Amick, Statistician, Chief Evaluation Office
Ellen Wright, Workforce Development Specialist, Office of Unemployment Insurance

Presenter(s)

Andrew Clarkwest, Principal Associate, Abt Associates
Victoria Wheat, Associate, Abt Associates

This webinar is the first of a two-part series on component evaluations. It will cover what can be learned from a component evaluation and how an impact evaluation of a RESEA program component differs from an evaluation of a RESEA program as a whole. It will describe how to use detailed theories of action to identify possible components to develop and test. In addition, it will review how impact findings and accompanying descriptive findings (such as program implementation, service use, and customer experience) can be used for further learning iterations.

The webinar will also touch on the types of proximate outcomes that smaller states may be in a better position to analyze, as well as how the impact information on final outcomes can be used for meta-analysis or pooled analysis to contribute to the national evidence base.
