The Census Bureau offers a wide variety of data sources and tools to find demographic and socioeconomic data. It has free online training sessions via e-tutorials and 5-minute podcasts on subjects, to help you learn how to use the tools, such as:
- Using the Local Employment Dynamic's "On the Map"
- Incorporating Census data into grant applications
- Searching with DataFerrett
- Navigating the Census Data Explorer, and
- Finding income, population, educational level, county business pattern and employment data.
Measuring America Training Courses
These free courses can teach you how to use Census databases and mapping tools, and find local and national demographic information for a variety of uses, including grant proposals, economic data statistics for business plans, research papers, etc. Check out their e-tutorials and webinars in Educational Resources.
