This webinar serves as technical assistance for state and local workforce development board members and staff to understand the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth Entrepreneurial Skills Training program element, how to find/create/incorporate entrepreneurial skills training opportunities when serving youth, potential partners that could be involved, and performance and outcomes considerations for this program element.

The Developing Critical Skills for the Future Workforce: Entrepreneurial Skills Training webinar will provide an overview of the WIOA Youth program element of providing entrepreneurial skills training. State and local workforce development board members, in addition to state youth leads and youth providers, will have an opportunity to glean information from subject matter experts on how to deliver on this program element. This webinar is a part of the Next Level Now Collaborative’s focus area of Fiscal, Programmatic and Operational Strategies. Facilitated dialogue and polls will occur throughout the session, to encourage open conversation regarding embedding entrepreneurship into youth focused programs and to drive the implementation and development of these programs nationwide. Topics of discussion will include:
- An overview of the WIOA Youth program element for Entrepreneurial Skills Training
- Different models and partners to consider when delivering on this program element
- Outcomes and performance considerations
